Where to dance Cuban salsa
outdoors in Paris?

As soon as the warm days arrive, the entire Cuban Salsa Paris scene moves outdoors. That's the magic of summertime in the French capital.

The Must-See: Quai Saint-Bernard

Located in the 5th arrondissement, the Jardin Tino Rossi (also known as the "Quais Saint-Bernard") is the true temple of open-air dancing in Europe. Every summer, from June to September, its riverside amphitheatres fill up with dancers.

The Parisian Parks

Beyond the riverbanks, associations organise dance afternoons in parks such as:

  • Parc de la Villette (19th arrondissement)
  • Parc Montsouris (14th arrondissement)
  • The Esplanade of the Bibliothèque François Mitterrand (13th)

Don't forget to wear the right shoes: outdoor surfaces (concrete, cobblestones) call for old sneakers so you don't ruin your indoor dance shoes!

FAQ: Dancing salsa outdoors in Paris

Where can you dance Cuban salsa outdoors in Paris in summer?

The most iconic spot is Quai Saint-Bernard (Jardin Tino Rossi), in the 5th arrondissement, where the riverside amphitheatres welcome dancers every evening from June to September. The Seine riverbanks, Parc de la Villette and Parc Montsouris are also very popular.

Are outdoor salsa gatherings free?

Yes, most of the dance gatherings along the Seine riverbanks and in Parisian parks are free and open to everyone. Just show up with a good mood and the right shoes.

What shoes should you wear to dance outdoors?

Go for old sneakers or comfortable shoes: outdoor surfaces (concrete, cobblestones) quickly wear out indoor dance shoes. Save your salsa shoes for indoor floors.

When does the open-air dancing season take place?

The season generally runs from June to September, as soon as the warm days arrive. Quai Saint-Bernard then comes alive every evening until nightfall.
